The story so far…..

In the beginning…after 10 days of gathering for prayer, Eternity Christian Church—Port Macquarie launched its first service on June 1st 2001.

In response to a God given dream Pastor Jeff & Karen Atherton, along with a small group of praying people launched this exciting new church in the basement auditorium of the RSL Club, now known as Panthers. Since those early days with gatherings of around 20—30 people ECC has continued to grow to become an active and vibrant contemporary church, filled with life and love. A place “where strangers become friends and friends become family”.

Today Eternity Christian Church moves forward with a big heart to reach into the marketplace of the city. On week days the hub of operations is found in the CBD of Port Macquarie at The E-Centre (opposite Coles), the community care arm of ECC. On Sundays in the downstairs auditorium at ‘Port Panthers’ the ‘Eternity CC’ members celebrate together with worship and the Word at 10.00am (includes Gener8 Kids & crèche) & then on Friday Nights - The REVOLUTiON from 7.00pm - 9.00pm. 2008 has been a year of “newness”. The E-Centre takes new steps forward where it continues to encourage, equip and empower people’s lives through counselling, support groups and life keys programs. ECC’s programs for Youth, Children, Men and Women continue to be developed, as does the ministry in bible training, music & worship and prayer.

“Eternity” is a church with a big heart for people. The gifts, passions and dreams of each individual are valued greatly whilst still remaining strongly aware of our need for each other. We are committed ... to doing life together … to being part of a team … to being His Church alive and well on the earth.

ECC continues to be built on the two arms of “LOVING GOD” and “LOVING PEOPLE” (the great commandment and the great commission) with the result being a family of people who are truly able to “LOVE LIFE”. This life is outworked by connecting with others through a life giving network of small groups. We believe in enjoying the journey…
